What Can Intravenous Therapy Do For You?
What is IV therapy?
IV therapy is the most effective way to deliver essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into your blood stream. By bypassing the digestive system, I can give you higher doses of what you need in order to avoid the digestive upset that you can get from oral supplementation. This way, I can ensure complete absorption and full therapeutic effect.
Another benefit of IV therapy is that the formula and amounts of each ingredient used can be tailored for your specific health concerns. I can include B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, selenium, zinc, trace minerals, amino acids, and more.
Who can benefit from this therapy?
This type of therapy is useful for several different health conditions including:
Immune support – allergies, autoimmunity, chronic illness, and infections including colds and flus
Digestive issues – IBS, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, leaky gut, malabsorption, and malnutrition
Acute and chronic stress
Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome
How often should I come in for an IV?
The frequency of treatments depends on the individual and condition being treated. They are typically given weekly for four to six weeks and then tapered down as things improve. Then, monthly IVs can be given for maintenance.
What can I expect during my first visit?
If you are not already an existing patient of mine, your first visit will involve a review of your health history, medications, supplements, and allergies. Please ensure that you have had a substantial meal and are well hydrated beforehand. It is suggested that you don't consume alcohol 24 hours before your treatment. All of these tips ensure that the treatment can go as comfortably as possible. Usually, your bag will drip for 1 to 1.5 hours, so bring a book or a tablet, or just kick back, relax, and soak it all in!
